Evaluation
I conduct a thorough evaluation of your strength and challenges through a structured interview, standardized performance assessments, and task analysis. This process typically takes 1-2 sessions depending on our experience together and your unique circumstances. Understanding the entire person, their interests and their environments is essential to developing an effective intervention plan.
Intervention
This is where the work is done. My approach will address your whole person. This includes physical, mental, and emotional health, skill building, routine establishment, and lifestyle redesign. As an occupational therapist my skill set lies in facilitating the interactions of your skills, environment, and your performance to allow you to perform at your highest capacity and achieve your goals.
Goal Setting
Through an established clinical process, we will identify meaningful goals to work towards. These goals will be the building blocks of designing a life you love. These goals will reflect what is needed for you to build a life you love. Some will be short and easy and some may stretch you considerably. My goals are your goal , whatever you decide on them to be.
Episodic Care
Building a life you love does not happen overnight. Typically, we will work together for a period of time to work towards our defined goals. We will then break from therapy as you implement and practice the strategies and changes we put in place. When it is time to move on we can always begin as again with a new approach specific to where you are in life.
